Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager


The Company

Our client is a prestigious global developer with an exceptional track record of delivering luxury and award winning flagship destinations. At present they hold a £50bn project portfolio with a further £3bn secured for the next 10 years. They have delivered an array of high profile projects within the retail, commercial and residential sectors across the UK.

The Project

A major new build, private residential scheme based in East London. The overall build value exceeds £600m and will deliver 1200 new homes across various high rise accommodation blocks which will include amenities such as; gyms, a swimming pool, workspace and high-quality public areas

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following skills as a minimum;

* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* History of solely delivering commercial packages on new build / refurbishment projects in the residential sector
* Successfully delivered packages on new build / refurbishment developments in excess of £20m+

The Role

* Job Title: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
* Duration: 12 Months Freelance Contract
* Project: £600m+high profile Design & Build Private Residential Scheme in East London
* Reporting to: Commercial Director / Senior Commercial Manager

Duties

* Procurement
* Able to delegate successfully
* Maintain and expand supply chain relationships
* Offer useful feedback to project teams and individuals
* Internal reporting and monitoring of trade contractors on projects
* Confidence in presentation and the skill to lead high level meetings
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* To be able to interrogate the design to drive top value and efficiencies
* Must be able to remain composed and focused in complicated situations
* Must be organised and prioritise own work to deliver on time through organization of time efficiently
* Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through partnerships, mergers and new markets
* Increase and grow optimistic relationships with clients and client professional teams for all assigned projects
* Plan resource requirements for assigned projects, managing and personally working with the project teams to recruit and select quality colleagues
* Manage daily operations, including contract negotiations and production planning
* Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
