Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to support the development and delivery of highways and civil engineering schemes from our client's Wakefield office.

This role would suit a candidate who enjoys the technical, documentation and process-driven side of engineering, with a strong understanding of construction quality, compliance and project delivery. You will work closely with Agents, engineers, subcontractors and Quantity Surveyors to develop work packages, coordinate documentation, assess buildability and prepare technical submissions for National Highways.

Highways or highways structures experience is preferred, although candidates with a strong general civils background will also be considered.

Key Requirements:

Experience as a QA Engineer, Senior QA Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub Agent.
*

Strong civil engineering background, ideally within highways or highways structures.
*

Experience producing and reviewing QA/QC documentation, RAMS, ITPs and construction methodologies.
*

Understanding of subcontractor management, work package preparation and construction planning.
*

Experience reviewing designs, assessing buildability and raising technical queries.
*

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*

Comfortable working in an office-based role five days per week.
*

Freelance experience advantageous.

Responsibilities:

*

Completing and managing QA/QC documentation.
*

Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, permits and method statements.
*

Monitoring subcontractor progress and coordinating with delivery teams.
*

Assisting with the preparation of subcontractor packages for upcoming ECI works.
*

Working with Quantity Surveyors to break down packages into costs and support pricing.
*

Reviewing designs and assessing buildability.
*

Raising and managing technical queries.
*

Coordinating with Agents to support the smooth delivery of highways civils schemes.
