Role Overview:
An experienced Contracts Manager with a strong surfacing background is required to manage multiple surfacing contracts across the UK. The role involves ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own diary, building jobs, coordinating multiple sites and supervisors, and working closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Experience managing multiple surfacing schemes simultaneously

Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within surfacing/highways surfacing
*

Alternatively, experience as a Senior Supervisor looking to progress into a Contracts Manager role

Responsibilities:

*

Manage multiple surfacing contracts against financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
*

Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators
*

Lead and delegate to engineering and contract staff
*

Maintain knowledge of current contract forms, legislation, and regulations
*

Manage contracts and subcontracts
*

Ensure company Health & Safety and IMS procedures are followed
*

Plan, programme, and resource contracts
*

Liaise and negotiate with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
*

Assist with quality bids, PQQs, and presentations
*

Provide technical, contractual, and legal advice
*

Prepare information for monthly contract appraisals and reporting
*

Budget, monitor, and control contract finances
*

Identify, evaluate, and manage claims and variations
*

Compile applications for payment and agree final accounts
*

Motivate, coach, and guide staff and operatives
*

Support recruitment, selection, discipline, and dismissal processes
*

Maintain photographic libraries and publicity materials
*

Promote and improve the company profile and activities
