What We're Looking For

Relevant Qualifications:

* SMSTS - essential
* First Aid - essential
* Valid CSCS - essential

Experience:

* Proven track record delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm or transport improvement projects valued between £2m-£5m
* Strong understanding of highways specifications, health & safety requirements and quality control procedures within civil engineering projects

Key Skills:

* Superb negotiation abilities
* Competent IT / software skills
* Extensive Health and Safety knowledge
* Effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to organise and manage project schedules
* Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
* A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
* In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes
* Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a £2m transport hub and active travel infrastructure project. You will oversee site operations, coordinate subcontractors, manage programme delivery, and ensure health and safety, quality and project objectives are achieved through to successful completion. Previous experience delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm or civil engineering projects within live public environments is highly desirable.

* Liaise with external stakeholders
* Conduct and attend routine site meetings
* Reporting regularly and consistently to the Director
* Address any problems or disputes that arise throughout
* Oversee package expenses, maintaining alignment with the budget
* Comply with health and safety regulations throughout all work operations
* Recognise possible threats to the works, implementing strategies to address them
