Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Office-Based (Hybrid working available after probation/performance)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE

Role Overview:

We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering a varied portfolio of infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced QS looking for their next challenge or an ambitious junior Quantity Surveyor seeking structured career development and mentoring.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to support the commercial delivery of projects from inception through to final account, ensuring contracts remain commercially successful while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Requirements:

*

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector.
*

Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:

*

Environment Agency projects
*

Flood alleviation schemes
*

Highways
*

Drainage
*

Reinforced concrete (RC) frames
*

General civil engineering works

*

Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills.
*

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
*

Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities:

*

Manage the commercial aspects of multiple civil engineering projects.
*

Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
*

Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
*

Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and account reconciliation.
*

Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
*

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
*

Support contract administration and ensure commercial compliance.
