Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Civils Site Manager to oversee and coordinate civil engineering projects on a residential housing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong management skills and a background in civil engineering to lead diverse construction teams on high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise all civil site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
* Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
* Manage site resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, optimising utilisation for efficiency.
* Oversee health and safety compliance across the site, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
* Monitor project budgets and timelines, proactively addressing any issues that could impact delivery.
* Prepare progress reports and documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
* Supervise a team of site personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations as necessary.

Experience

* Proven management experience in civil engineering or construction projects of varying scales.
* Supervising experience on large-scale civil sites is essential.
* Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure project standards are maintained.
* Knowledge of current health and safety legislation relevant to civil engineering works.
