Site Manager - Roofing Project (School)
Location: Wakefield
Duration: 6 Weeks
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:00
Rate: £250-£280
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 6-week roofing project on a school in Wakefield.
This is a non-working Site Manager position, responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the project, ensuring health & safety compliance, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining programme. The only hands-on aspect of the role will be operating a forklift to assist with lifting materials onto the roof as required, therefore a valid forklift licence is essential.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the roofing works from start to completion.
* Manage subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely and on programme.
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and maintain health & safety standards.
* Liaise with the client, school representatives and project team.
* Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to a high standard.
* Operate a forklift when required to assist with moving materials onto the roof.
Essential Requirements
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work
* Asbestos Awareness
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (essential due to working on a live school)
* Valid Forklift Licence (essential)
* Previous experience managing roofing, refurbishment or construction projects.
