Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established contractor specialising in commercial construction and maintenance works. The role will involve pricing a range of new build and refurbishment projects across Lancashire, typically up to £1m in value.

Key Requirements:

5 Years Experience in Estimating



Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial new build and refurbishment projects typically valued between £200k-£1m.
* Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce detailed take-offs and pricing breakdowns.
* Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
* Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial queries.
* Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving options during the tender stage.
* Produce and submit professional tender documentation and supporting reports.
* Maintain and update estimating software and internal cost databases (strong computer literacy essential).
* Attend pre-start and handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to delivery.
