Experience:

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on retail projects
* Background delivering shell & core or structural build packages
* Experience managing phased works within live environments

* Effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to organise and manage project schedules
* A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
* Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
* In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a major retail construction project in West Yorkshire. The role will involve managing shell-only extension works as part of a multi-phase programme, operating within a live retail environment and coordinating multiple subcontract packages.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all day-to-day site operations and construction activities
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and direct labour
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are implemented and maintained
* Manage site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Monitor programme progress and manage short-term lookahead plans
* Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards
* Oversee shell & core construction activities and inspections
* Liaise with the project team to provide regular progress updates
* Manage site logistics, deliveries and access constraints
