The Opportunity

As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial packages on a £50m large-scale warehouse and distribution facility in Bristol. The role involves overseeing all aspects of cost management, including the preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and forecasts, while closely monitoring project expenditures to ensure alignment with financial targets. In addition, the position requires providing leadership and mentorship to junior surveyors, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and implementing robust cost control strategies to deliver the project successfully.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

* Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working in a Senior Quantity Surveyor position or similar for a leading contractor or subcontractor
* Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering commercial packages on major/large scale projects

* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Proficient in the relevant software tools
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details
* A strong understanding of construction laws and regulations
* The ability to accurately estimate the costs associated with the project
* A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques

Key Responsibilities

* Procurement operations
* Reporting regularly to the Project Manager
* Assessment of tender pricing and cost allocations
* Evaluate and compare bids from contractors and suppliers
* Utilise robust and efficient cost management techniques to maintain budgetary control
* Prepare thorough cost assessments and feasibility evaluations to inform project planning
* Manage and oversee project expenditures, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints
