Job Title: Project Engineer (Retail Refrigeration Packages)

Location: Midlands

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Key Requirements:

* 5+ years' experience working as a Project Engineer completing refrigeration projects within the retail sector
* City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
* F-Gas qualification: City & Guilds 2079, BESA F-Gas, CITB J11, or LCL F-Gas
* Understanding of RS232/RJ485 2/4 wire, Cat5e/Cat6 networks, and peripheral controls/interfaces.
* Good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations
* Well organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works
* Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Project Engineer to manage refrigeration package installations on retail sites. You will be expected to coordinate site activities, ensure adherence to H&S protocols and ensure that all installations meet project design specifications.

Responsibilities:

* Reporting to the Operations Director
* Conduct engineering and technical surveys
* Assess existing controls, networks, and access routes
* Evaluate existing services for reuse
* Disconnect and isolate M&E services for decommissioned fixtures
* Maintain functionality of remaining systems during decommissioning
* Ensure TMS systems remain updated and operational
* Assist with installation of new equipment (plant, gas coolers, cabinets, cold stores)
* Install and test control/sensor wiring and communication networks
* Support technical assessments and equipment evaluations
* Conduct site surveys for equipment reuse
* Tag assets and update system records
