The Opportunity
As a Security Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our leadership and providing critical travel and regional guidance to the broader business. You will play a key role in developing and implementing security protocols, enabling our operations to run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel Risk Management
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve global travel security policies, procedures, and protocols.
* Assess and monitor travel risks in real time, providing advice and briefings to business travellers.
* Oversee a travel tracking and alert system to identify and respond to incidents affecting our people.
* Manage vendor relationships with travel risk intelligence providers and emergency response services.
Operational Support
* Provide pre-travel risk assessments for high-risk destinations and approve or escalate travel as needed.
* Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with duty of care obligations.
* Respond to security incidents impacting staff abroad (e.g. natural disasters, civil unrest, medical emergencies).
Crisis Management
* Participate in global crisis management teams; lead the travel component during incidents.
* Conduct post-incident reviews and update protocols accordingly.
Training & Communication
* Design and deliver traveller awareness programs and destination-specific security briefings.
* Develop internal communication strategies to promote safe travel practices.
Governance & Reporting
* Maintain records of security incidents involving travellers and generate regular risk reports.
* Ensure compliance with company travel policies and relevant legal/regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Security Management, Risk, or related field. Master's preferred.
* 5-8 years' experience in corporate travel security, intelligence, or global risk management.
* In-depth knowledge of international travel risk, political and security environments.
* Experience using travel tracking and intelligence platforms (e.g., ISOS, WorldAware, Riskline).
* Strong crisis management and incident response capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing global priorities.
