The Project

As a highly experienced Estimator, you will play a crucial role as part of the commercial team, estimating the installation of high-quality, security-rated steel doors, primarily serving the housing, education and commercial sectors, based in Gateshead. This role entails thoroughly evaluating project requirements and producing comprehensive cost estimates for clients. Initially, you will contribute to preparing accurate and competitive quotes that align with client budgets and project timelines.

Requirements

For this role it is preferred that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Degree or Diploma in Construction (preferred but not essential)

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Extensive experience within the industry with minimum of 3 years working in an Estimating role
* A demonstrated track record of working on various commercial, residential and education projects for well-established contractors

* Proficient in utilising the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to enhance efficiency and support project tasks

Duties

* Commercial reporting
* Assist with procurement
* Specification analysis & review
* Preparation and submission of tenders
* Adjudicating tenders within agreed limits
* Preparing bill of quantity / pricing documentation
* Reviewing enquiry returns / checking compliance
* Collection of pricing
