A regional main construction contractor with up to 40 years in the industry, as a business they have an extensive order book generating a turnover in excess of £100m. Portfolio and order book spanning the UK which has allowed them to become a market leader in the construction industry. They hold a proven track record of delivering award-winning developments for a variety of clients within Public Sector, Residential & Leisure.

The Project

As an experienced Senior Planner based in West Yorkshire, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning and scheduling of multiple new build / refurbishment projects across a wide range of sectors, including residential, leisure, commercial & retail with build values up to £50m+. With your expertise in planning software and methodologies, you will oversee the development of detailed project schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery of projects. Your input will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation.

Requirements

For this role, it is essential that you carry the following experience as a minimum;

* Good working knowledge of Primavera P6 / Asta / MS Projects
* Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with tier 1 and tier 2 leading construction contractors
* A demonstrated track record of working on new build/refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £20m in a comparable role
* A proven track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects that were successfully delivered on time and within budget

* Capability to conduct successful negotiations
* Clear communication abilities combined with a keen eye for detail
* Capacity to adjust to changes and amend project plans as required
* Solid understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
* Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies
* Competent in utilizing planning software and methodologies to develop elaborate project schedules
* Proven track record in planning and project management, preferably within the construction industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
