Freelance Project Manager


The Company

A well-established construction contractor based in the Midlands and operating nationwide. Dedicated to developing high standard luxury schemes to ensure client satisfaction, specialising in residential care homes. They have up to 25 years' experience within the industry and hold a knowledgeable perspective on a large range of services. They hold a successful track record of delivering prestigious projects to an exceptional industry standard.



The Project

As an experienced Freelance Project Manager, you will be overseeing the development of a £10m New Build Care Home on the East Ridings coast. You will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing all aspects of the development, providing strong leadership and strategic planning to ensure the successful delivery of the project

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid at Work
* CSCS Black Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Demonstratable experience of successfully leading and delivering a similar scheme from inception to completion; previous experience of student accommodation, hotels, PRS or care homes would be advantageous

Additional skills;

* Proficient in using IT software
* Understanding of construction laws and regulations
* Excellent communication abilities, written and verbal
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
* Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients



The Role

* Job Title: Project Manager
* Project: £10m New Build Care Homes
* Duration: 15 Months
* Reporting to: Visiting Contracts Manager

Duties

* Allocating duties and assignments to team members
* Creating and managing project timelines and monitoring progress
* Monitor project progress consistently, ensuring it adheres to project plans
* Maintain and build strong relationships with stakeholders, clients and the team
* Develop and monitor project expenses and budgets, ensuring financial goals are on track
* Supervising project quality and ensuring industry standards and client expectations are met
* Recognising potential risks, formulating risk mitigation strategies, and executing measures to reduce project risks
* Addressing issues and conflicts that arise during project execution, finding solutions, and keeping the project on track
* Providing leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering collaboration, and motivating team members to achieve project goals
* Reporting directly to the Visiting Contracts Manager and providing regular updates to other senior management and other stakeholders
