Site Engineer - Cardiff

The Project

As an experienced Site Engineer, you will be working on the construction of a Student Accommodation Development, based in Cardiff. You will play a key role in the project, overseeing the setting out, QA and line levelling, ensuring project is delivered to a high standard, and complying with health & safety regulations

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional requirements as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* Able to provide your own laptop & AutoCAD

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Previous experience in using a Leica Robotic TS16 kit
* An extensive history of working within the construction industry

Additional skills;

* Excellent attention to detail
* Competent surveying techniques
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in utilizing construction management software, CAD tools, and other relevant technology
* Possess a strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and project specifications

The Role

* Job Title: Site Engineer
* Project: New Build Student Accommodation Project in Cardiff
* Duration: 12 Months
* Reporting to: Site Manager

Duties

* Problem solving
* Quality assurance
* Setting out and line levelling effectively
* As builts and CAD drawings, Laptop and AutoCAD
* Guarantee adherence to local building codes, regulations, and permit stipulations
* Execute surveys and site investigations to collect relevant data for project planning
* Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines
* Oversee and coordinate testing and inspections of construction materials and completed work
* Assist in managing contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other project-related vendors
* Liaise with project managers and architects effectively throughout the planning and development
* Review and evaluate construction plans and designs to oversee compliance with essential regulations
* Coordinate project activities among different project teams, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors
* Liaise and communicate effectively with stakeholders, updating and supporting them with updates on project progress
