Freelance Planner


The Company

Our client is a privately owned; leading healthcare technology company with over 20 years in the industry. They provide new modular medical spaces, mobile theatres and building service installation/ maintenance works to live clinical environments across the UK.



The Project

As an experienced Planner you will provide specialised planning knowledge and produce comprehensive project schedules on a £30m healthcare extension in South West London.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following experience;

* Proven experience of working on projects within healthcare and/or modular sectors is advantageous but not essential
* Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with leading construction contractors
* A demonstrated track record of working on new build/refurbishment projects with build values in excess of £10m in a comparable role
* A proven track record of delivering high quality plans and schedules on projects that were successfully delivered on time and within budget

It is also essential that you hold the skills below;

* Negotiation skills
* Strategic and critical thinking
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Ability to adapt to changes and adjust project plans accordingly
* Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices
* A solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and make strategic decisions
* Expertise in utilizing planning software and methodologies to create detailed project schedules
* Proven experience in planning and project management, preferably within the construction industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

* Manage relationships with stakeholders
* Obtain necessary permits and approvals
* Conduct regular quality audits and assessments
* Develop project budgets and monitor expenditures
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
* Contribute to the strategic decision-making process
* Implement effective solutions to keep projects on track
* Oversee the planning process from initiation to completion
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation
* Address and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle
* Implement risk management plans to address unforeseen challenges
