Claims Quantity Surveyor


The Company

Our client is a leading quantity surveying consultancy working with some of the UKs largest major main contractors and specialist subcontractors. They provide quality dispute resolution, commercial management, claims and recovery solutions across all project sectors as well as thorough training and development services.

The Project

As an experienced Claims Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with Senior Leadership and a team of specialists on claims and dispute resolutions across various core sector projects including education, health, commercial, industrial and residential schemes.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience working in a similar claims position with a specialist consultancy and/or claims and dispute resolution experience working for a main contractor/subcontractor
* Extensive background with at least 5 years of experience within the construction industry
* Commercially astute with at least 5 years of Surveying experience

The Role

* Job Title: Claims Quantity Surveyor
* Project: Various core sector projects such as education, health, commercial, industrial and residential
* Location: Central London - Flexible, hybrid working options between home and the office
* Reporting to: Director

Duties

* General commercial support
* Cost mitigation and reporting
* Dealing with audit procedures
* Internal and external reporting
* Efficiently make preparations of the claims
* Drafting solution and recommendation reports
* Offer useful feedback to teams and individuals
* Management of prolongation and disruption claims
* Regularly liaise with clients on the progress of the claim
* Capturing data and preparing presentations and analyses
* Forensic analysis of tender, contract and claims documents
* Develop and review claim strategies with internal teams and clients
* Supporting teams with the preparation of claims for loss and expenses
* Ensure adherence to internal standards and compliance with external regulations
* Supply clients with effective claims advice regarding all types of construction contract problems and disputes
